Jamie Ludwig

Assistant Director of Animal Support Operations

Jamie Ludwig provides training to researchers and their staff/students in routine handling/restraint and experimental techniques. This includes rodent biomethodology, aseptic technique, anesthesia, and minor surgical procedures. Ludwig coordinates technician services, a fee-based service utilized by researchers for procedures to be performed by a veterinary staff member.

She also manages and operates the chlorine dioxide gas generators for decontamination of equipment and supplies, promotes biosecurity within our animal units and lab spaces, and manages the DAR-distributed anesthesia equipment. Ludwig also serves as a backup to the clinical team, pharmacy, supply ordering, sanitation monitoring, and import/export procedures.
