Controlled Substances
Type
PolicyPolicy
DEA regulations and ACP-LAB policy require that Principal Investigators obtain their own Federal and State of Illinois controlled substances licenses. Researchers will need to apply for the state of Illinois' controlled drug license first. After successfully obtaining the state license, the Principal Investigator can then apply for the federal controlled drug license. For more information on the application process, please send an email to DRS-drugcompliance@illinois.edu.
For information on controlled substance requests and licensing, view the DRS Controlled Substance Page or call DRS office at 217-333-2755.
